Many of the engines offered on the new 5 Series Touring feature Mild Hybrid Technology. This has two purposes; firstly to recover kinetic energy during braking, and secondly to support the combustion engine when accelerating. This helps reduce fuel consumption and emissions, while also enhancing the Start/Stop function.
